Note: this role is a virtual/work from home/remote opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for zOS DB2 system, application object and program product installation and management. Disaster recovery for the DB2 system and application objects is also required. Maintain and create the processes and procedures by which tasks / duties are performed.
Technical Skills: 7+ years minimum of z/OS DB2 DBA
Technical Project Management on a small to medium scale
Deep understanding of DB2 for zOS functions and features
Experience with application life cycle management & participation in application DB2 object design
Strong analytical skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize activities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High Technical Aptitude
Ability to interpret technical information and review user requests
Strong troubleshooting, problem management skills
Ability to lead projects and manage timelines
Ability to transform user requirements into actionable tasks
Competencies/Knowledge of: DB2 Version 12 for DB2
DB2 System performance & tuning
SQL coding & tuning
DB2 configurationand planning
REXX programming skills
Large Parallel Sysplex Environment experience

Education: Bachelors Degree required preferably in a Computer Science discipline
