Position Summary

Provides high level Quality leadership to assigned highly-regulated Product Platform(s) – BCC Wet Wipes. Serves as the key point of contact to facility, business or staff teams for the assigned highly-regulated Product Platform(s) – BCC Wet Wipes, covering routine Platform quality tasks such as change management, investigation and resolution of non-conforming product events, manufacturing data and metrics preparation and analysis, process validation/verification planning, and routine problem-solving. Recommends and implements plans and projects that support business, team and/or organization objectives. Ensures compliance to established procedures and processes. Facilitates design transfer to manufacturing sites. In addition, the position provides subject matter expertise to Family Care Wet Wipes, as assigned by the manager.

  • Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed as applicable

  • Performs production and quality systems audits

  • Maintain and demonstrate a high degree of knowledge and skill in product forms, quality systems, processes, and regulations

  • Establish and maintain good customer rapport, while driving solutions to meet business needs

  • Develop and maintain a proven spirit of partnership. Conduct all communications and transactions with the utmost integrity

  • Communicate fully with superiors, teammates, and others who have a need to know

  • Executes continuous improvement activities for established processes and initiates/supports development of new processes

  • Builds and maintains capability in QMS, ISO, and GMPs to support objectives

Position Specific Accountabilities


  • Act as the primary routine decision-making Staff Quality contact for BCC Wet Wipes products, providing quality leadership to associated KCNA mills, contract manufacturers, and R&E teams in the areas of non-conforming product investigation and resolution, manufacturing quality controls, manufacturing quality planning, change management, manufacturing metrics & reporting, and process validation/verification

  • Provide back-up leadership/support for DEPEND as needed. Provide back-up leadership/support for Family Care Wipes and other BCC Platforms as needed. Initiates and follows up on manufacturing-related CAPA and QNC for BCC Wet Wipes platform

  • Identifies need for, develops, and executes continuous improvement plans for manufacturing within the BCC Wet Wipes platform

  • Builds and maintains capability within the BCC Wet Wipes platform for compliance with the Kimberly-Clark QMS-R, US Cosmetic Good Manufacturing Guidelines, ISO 22716, and other applicable regulations and GMP's

  • Provide Quality Management support to mills and project teams working within the BCC Wet Wipes platform, including support for change control, validation, and acceptance sampling, as needed

  • Assists in the development of, and leads implementation of new quality standards and systems to meet business objectives

  • Provides subject matter expertise to Family Care Wet Wipes teams to ensure objectives are met and quality risk minimized

Scope

This position reports to KCNA BCC Quality Snr Manager. Has responsibility for coordinating manufacturing-related quality improvement projects, day-to-day support needs, and key metric reporting for BCC Wet Wipes.  Supports Family Care Wipes with subject matter expertise, as needed. Assists in or leads moderate- to large-sized projects. Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction, but requests project and system support as required by the demands of the platform.

Qualifications/Education/Experience Required


  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or related discipline and 8+ years of broad experience in a Quality, Manufacturing, Research or Regulatory function

  • Requires prior leadership experience with medium- to large-sized projects or systems

  • Experience should include close working relationships with Manufacturing and Research functions AND technical quality skills in at least two of the following areas: CAPA, applied statistics, validation, change management, design controls, microbiology, gage R&R, and/ or demonstrated application of LEAN/ Continuous Improvement skills

  • Travel – up to 25%
