We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Scheduler I.

Position Summary:

Overall responsibility for supporting the Scheduling coordinators and Managers, including all responsibilities of the Scheduling role.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Demonstrate the ability to learn new techniques and adapt to using the tools aligned with the organization
  • Assist on roll out of new initiatives (mobile applications, new software, etc.) as directed by leadership/with Scheduling peers

  • Demonstrate strong work ethics; be committed to excellence and be a positive influence to others

  • Regularly meet with leadership to provide timely, comprehensive verbal and written status reports on clinician requests and staffing & forecasting updates as directed by leadership

  • Work within a team-driven setting to drive results and provide customer satisfaction to our clinicians, while being able to work independently on assigned tasks

  • Reads and abides by the company's code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs

  • Reports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company

  • Obtains clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so

  • Exhibit flexibility in rotating schedule as needed to address high demands of business. This may include weekend and/or holiday shifts

  • Works intimately with clinical staff and executive leadership teams to address vacation and staffing requests

  • Work on other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and one or more years of related experience

  • Knowledge of healthcare scheduling software

  • Processing of scheduling for multispecialty programs

  • Experience in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Suite a plus

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Strong interpersonal skills required with emphasis on customer service

  • Must be a team player

  • Must maintain a personable, positive attitude and willingness to learn new procedures, while making recommendations for process improvements as necessary

  • Experience using multiple methods of communication, such as email, phone calls and text messages

  • Must be available for an on-call schedule

  • Position may require up to 25% travel to visit facilities


Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid Florida driver's license

  • Low level - No access to patient information
