Position Summary:



The product file analyst for digital business has primary responsibility to bring best in class customer online business experience around pricing and product data. This is a new role not only geared to meet the immediate needs of existing digital business, but one aimed to grow our knowledge and disciplines


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)


Provide cross functional coordination for Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Digital Business, and Material Management on all Eclipse product and pricing related aspects to support Digital Business needs.




    • Act as lead project manager on all product file projects specific to digital business as directed by Product File Manager. Coordination & project management will include a lead role in partnership with Sonepar department activities.

    • Create & maintain a product attribute audit process for all item aspects required for digital business based on current OSD/SUSA guidelines. For example, but not limited to: web-enabled flag, product description, specification sheets, images, keywords, substitutes, vendor catalog numbers & UPC.

    • Load & maintain sell price & special costs to support all promotional activities

    • Manage sell pricing on all manufacturer IMAP (Internet Minimum Advertised Price) & vendor violation notice investigation and coordination of corrections

    • Proactively manage the oversight & pricing related feedback for all customers registered to conduct business online. Direct any system sell price or cost updates to the appropriate team based on current processes.

    • Support reporting requests from sales, management & customers surrounding digital business needs

    • Provide annual review of customer pricing and overall profitability for active digital business accounts with sales & management. Reviews to include recommendations for profit improvement and increased sales opportunities based on market data.

    • Conduct & present competitive pricing research, providing recommendations and tracking actions taken based on the data

    • Be an active on-going learner, while sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous improvements on all our IT tools: Eclipse, IDW, Trade Service offerings, Sonepar & OneSource Dashboards, and the evolving suite of Microsoft applications

    • Troubleshoot digital business pricing related feedback and coordinate correction with appropriate department(s) as needed.

    • Manage customer pricing software updates, such as but not limited to: Trade Service Supplier Exchange.

    • Evolve pricing discipline through data analytics & best practice research to leverage customer usage of pricing estimation tools aimed at improving the customer's experience.

    • Support product file team on new item creation and vendor price increase updates as directed by Product File Manager




Qualifications:



Education and/or Experience:


Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred




  • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University; or

  • 5 - 7 years' of related experience and/or training; or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
