Join Cardno as a Project Geologist and work on a multidisciplinary team performing due diligence and assessment and remediation of contaminated and potentially contaminated properties. We're looking for someone that thrives in both a field and a conventional office setting.

Job Description:

Cardno is seeking a Project Geologist/Scientist in our Intermountain and Northwest offices to perform due diligence and assessment and remediation of contaminated and potentially contaminated properties. This position will include a combination of field and office work. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred, but not necessary and can be provided.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare work plans, site conceptual models, and assessment reports


• Perform site assessment activities


• Permitting and coordination of field activities


• Plan and perform field data collection and review


• Soil, soil vapor, surface water, and groundwater sampling


• Hazardous and non-hazardous waste characterization and disposal

Requirements:

• BS or BA in geology, engineering, or a related field


• 4-7 years of experience in Geology or Environmental work, 5 or more years preferred


• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship


• Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work independently


• Willing and able to travel and to stay overnight


• Ability to perform field work including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds


• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and follow stringent Health & Safety policies


• Able to drive company vehicle (acceptable motor vehicle record)


• OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training and LPS training a plus
