The Senior Subcontract Specialist will administer a variety of government and commercial subcontracts and contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and customer requirements. Provide onsite guidance to senior leadership regarding contract status and contract compliance matters. The Sr. Subcontract Specialist will manage multiple efforts and maintain a professional business relationship with clients and subcontractors. This position works closely with the Accounting/Finance and Human Capital Departments and Operations. The Senior Subcontract Specialist will report to the Director of Contracts.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Sr. Subcontracts Administrator is responsible for subcontract management to include, but not limited to, drafting subcontract modifications, task orders and/or purchase orders, composing correspondence, monitoring funding & ceiling levels, period of performance, provide limitation of funds notifications and other subcontract milestones
Maintain subcontract files in accordance with CPSR standards and corporate policy and procedures
Assist with obtaining CPSR approved purchasing system
Assist in the development or modification of subcontract management tools, templates, methods and processes, as needed and in coordination with the PM, Operations and Program Control/Finance
Respond in a professional manner to complex inquiries regarding subcontract obligations and revisions
Identify subcontract risks and issues, suggest alternative that lead to the best solution
Conducts subcontract close-out to include preparing documents, final reports or release forms in coordination with Operations and Program Control/Finance
Ensures overall compliance with Government regulations and contract provisions
Interprets FAR, DFAR and other applicable acquisition regulations, and apply System High's best practices in their application

Recent (within 12 months) hands on experience within a CPSR-approved environment
Recent (within 12 month) hands on experience with Cost Point (v7 desired, but not required)
Experience with prime and subcontract contract management
Knowledge of FAR, DFAR

Local Travel (DMV) (sometimes frequent) to various program sites as necessary to ensure sound program execution
Ability to travel outside of DVM (occasional/as needed)
