Overview

The Sr. Manager, Business Systems (Salesforce Product Owner) is the liaison between the end user and technical team so requires both deep technical capabilities along with the ability to be analytical. This role understands the end-user needs and creates user stories for the architects and developers to build. The role will oversee the development phases from inception to delivery by deeply understanding the technical requirements, prioritizing the work for the architects and developers, managing the backlog, and evaluating the progress throughout. The Product Owner will be responsible for delivering a system configured to the customer requirements.

Responsibilities

    Customer Business Requirements: Gather requirements and User Acceptance Criteria (UAT) by partnering closely with internal key stakeholders within the business and the Technology Business Partner.
  • Create User Stories: Define and document detailed technical requirements, aligned to project goals based on user feedback, that results in comprehensive functional specifications. Meet with both technical management and business unit owners to gather, document and confirm project requirements while translating them into scope documentation.

  • Development Coordination: Plan, manage, and prioritize product feature backlog and development phases. Oversee development stages and evaluate progress at each iteration. Provide feedback to the customer and development teams. Grooming backlog (with input from Business Analyst).

  • Collaboration: Work in an agile process to continuously build and execute against the priorities while refining the backlog. Has final sign off on activities.

  • Communication: Practice effective listening and guide customer to define the vision for their desired technical solution and strategy. Provide useful and effective alternatives and iterate along the way. Help customers understand why and how some solutions

  • Transforms business requirements to clear and comprehensive functional specifications.

  • Collaborate with the Technology Business Partner and team to prioritize stories in addition to ensuring that the team is aligned to the release vision and objectives.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or relevant working experience generally seen with at least 6+ years of technical, business and management experience.

  • Experience with business requirements and documentation

  • Project Management
