Position Overview:
Oversee project management team responsible for deployment of Trimble Transportation technology:
Assign project managers to projects and oversee execution
Provide project managers guidance on project execution and issue management
Conduct employee evaluations and coaching on career development
Establish team budget and conduct on-going forecasting
Ensure hygiene of project data
Confirm completeness of project artifacts
Serve as executive sponsor for customer facing project
Contribute to the establishment of project delivery methodology and standards
Coordinate with interfacing departments: Support, Product, Development, Finance, PX
Conduct analysis of team and project data
Required Skills:
Strongly versed in the fundamentals of project management
Experience managing technology deployment projects
Full understanding of of Software Deployment methodology
Customer management
Proficient with project management tools (e.g. SmartSheet, Microsoft Project)
Experience leading projects focused on delivery of technology
Customer-focused and business-oriented
Excellent time management skills
Strong communication and business writing skills
Excellent presentation skills
Team player - strong initiative, independent thinker, driven to succeed, high energy with a commitment to work and follow-through
Preferred Skills:
Managing teams
Agile methodology experience
Transportation industry experience
PMI/PMP certification
