Job Description

The Director is responsible for developing and attaining the Peri-operative department mission, short and long-term strategic (financial, service and quality) goals and objectives. The Director directs and manages daily operations, resource management and performance improvement with 24-hour unit responsibility. . Oversees Peri-operative Services programs. Identifies business opportunities for providing new services or enhancing existing services. Coordinates with the clinical managers to develop and manage the capital and operating budgets for areas of responsibility. Works closely with Chief Nursing Officer to develop an effective recruitment and retention plan to ensure the staffing requirements are managed effectively. Collaborates with physicians, clinical managers, and other members of the health care team to promote optimum patient care. Understands and supports the professional practice of nursing Will evaluate most effective use of labor and non-labor resources across the enterprise where peri-operative services are performed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's in Nursing or related field required.

Five (5) years progressive management experience and ability to demonstrate competency in management skills.

Five (5) years general clinical experience in specialty area.

License/Certification/Registration Requirement

California Registered Nurse license.
