Associate Software Engineer
Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. (TABS) is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our product development team.The opportunity is available in the Document Solutions Engineering (DSE) division of Toshiba, headquartered in Lake Forest, CA. This development team is leading the Internet of Things (IoT) effort within Toshiba, developing enterprise level products and services in the cloud using Microsoft Azure. We are a high energy and fast paced team using Agile/Scrum methodology.
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will design, implement and deliver web services and applications using C#, ASP.net and MVC. SQL experience is valuable.
You will also help investigate and drive online performance, scalability and security. The ideal candidate is someone who has both deep and broad understanding of web technologies and thrive in shipping frequently. We are a high energy and fast paced team using Agile/Scrum methodology.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and unit test applications.
- Investigate and optimize service performance and scalability.
- Understand business requirements and provide engineering estimates.
- Collaborate with other developers and quality assurance engineers to deliver high quality products.
- Communicate status and identify project risks.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Technical Degree equivalent. May have held a Software Engineering Internship.
- 0-1 years of software development and testing in web services and applications.
- Skilled in major programming languages such as C#, java, and python.
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Capability to write and optimize SQL statements and stored procedures.
- Proficiency in web technologies such as ASP.net or similar
- Experience with integrated development environments, test automation, and continuous development/continuous integration.
- Familiarity with Agile SDLC methodologies.
- Must have good communication skills and ability to follow direction.
- Detail oriented and well organized.
