Raster Product Engineer - Enterprise and Web GIS

Overview

Apply your creativity and analytical skills to help our software products team design, build, and test ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Image Server, and ArcGIS Image for ArcGIS Online. In this role, you will work with software developers and product engineers in ensuring ArcGIS Image web capabilities are intuitive, easy to use, robust, and scalable and perform to expectations. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your enterprise skill set in the areas of Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure. As an enterprise specialist, you will exercise your deployment, automation, and scripting skills using the ArcGIS API for Python. In addition, you will help design modern user experiences using the latest web technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and automate ArcGIS Image Server and ArcGIS Raster Analytics quality and performance testing
• Help design, develop, and exercise the ArcGIS API for Python


• Design image processing models and raster analysis models which can be used to validate and verify ArcGIS raster analytics capabilities


• Analyze daily test results and report daily quality status


• Become an expert in ArcGIS deployment platforms including Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, including technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with GIS or remote sensing software


• Intermediate knowledge of GIS and remote sensing


• Intermediate development skills using Java, C#, or Python


• Intermediate understanding of image processing or GIS raster processing


• Excellent test engineering and problem-solving skills


• Experience with Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud computing infrastructures


• Desire and ability to learn new skills and contribute to producing quality commercial software


• Bachelor's in GIS, computer science, engineering, or related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+years of system integration or test engineering experience


• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS


• Experience with PyUnit, JUnit, CppUnit, Selenium, or other testing frameworks


• Experience with more than one computing infrastructure (Amazon, Microsoft, Google)


• Familiarity with raster and imagery data formats
