Description
POSITION: Project Engineer
JOB DUTIES: Perform safety testing and evaluation on a variety of products to determine compliance with applicable U.S., Canadian, and other International product Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards. Determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (equipment under test). Validate project scope and sample applicability. Identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing. Set up and operate EUT, implement established test plans, and perform and document repairs.
HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
LOCATION: Intertek Testing Services NA, Inc., 1809 10th Street, Suite 400, Plano, TX 75074
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Main Experience: At least a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a closely related field and at least one (1) year of EMC testing experience.
Special Skills: Also requires one (1) year of the following experience (which may have been obtained concurrently):
- Experience using EMI Receivers, DMM Voltmeters and Oscilloscopes; and
- Experience in testing to EMC standards, IEC 61000-4 series
