In 2020, the firm and its Foundation gave nearly $350 million to nonprofit organizations around the world. Within Global Philanthropy, the Employee Engagement and Volunteerism (EEV) team manages JPMorgan Chase's portfolio of employee volunteer programs, which engages employees in strategic volunteerism and workplace giving. The team manages a portfolio of skills-based programming that leverages the talent and expertise of employees to support the firm's Corporate Responsibility agenda.

In order to continue growing its portfolio and deliver high-quality programming, Global Philanthropy seeks an Associate to support its EEV team. This Associate role will specifically focus on the continued development of the firm's skills-based volunteer programming and engage top talent from across the firm to help nonprofits solve strategic business challenges.

This role is an opportunity to work directly with nonprofits and external stakeholders that are working to drive inclusive growth within their communities. The candidate will provide critical project management support to EEV's skills-based program team as it works to expand its impact in strategic global markets.

The candidate will:


  • Support in the delivery of best in class skills-based volunteer programs, including, but not limited to, sourcing potential volunteer projects, managing the volunteer approval process, preparing volunteers for their engagement, and acting as resource for volunteers during their project
  • Lead volunteer and nonprofit onboarding calls and information sessions; represent JPMC on engagements led by implementation partners
  • Provide communications support for internal and external collateral, including case studies; work closely with media relations to highlight program successes
  • Manage employee recruitment and alumni engagement efforts to raise program awareness; work across the team to capture and communicate engagement with senior leaders
  • Support collaborative projects, and projects with non-traditional partners, that require additional assistance, due diligence, and oversight
  • Assist stakeholders (employees and nonprofits) in accessing firm technology (SharePoint, Zoom, etc.)
  • Support in data tracking and development of dashboards; oversee program surveys and key impact reports
  • Suggest and develop process and programmatic improvements that drive stakeholder impact
  • Ensure timely responses to ad hoc requests and employee outreach
  • Manage major, high-profile events, working closely with program managers; this includes planning and logistics, guest management and post-event reporting
  • Additional projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 4-5 years of professional experience; demonstrated capability to lead and manage projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; communications experience valued
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-performance, professional environment, with quick turn-around and changing priorities
  • Demonstration of problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to think critically and strategically about program design and implementation
  • Desire to continually improve programming, seek information and look for new approaches to processes and practices
  • Experience interacting with executive management and senior leadership strongly preferred
  • Previous nonprofit experience preferred, but not required
  • High attention to detail across all mediums of communication and a strong focus on customer experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications required
