About the role:

  • Gartner needs a well-rounded and motivated Software Architect who will be a part of team developing and supporting Gartner's Product Delivery organization focused on creating and support products and platform that help our clients with their mission critical priorities. The team focuses on enhancing the current Platform and Client experience as well as creating new products for both web and mobile.

What You'll Do:


  • Focus on building the application architecture and coaching the principles needed for a scalable, robust and secure application


  • Work with teams to ensure that translates requirements and designs into working software, coaches' team members for coding standards, conducts code reviews.


  • Furthers our TDD practices and helps coach the team write unit & integration tests and follows security and performance best practices.


  • Work in a DevOps environment.


  • Collaborates with broader teams to explore existing systems, determines areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation, learns the applications capabilities


  • Contributes to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to application architecture, user interface and applying latest technologies


  • Ability to work with a team, proactively, in a fast-paced Agile-SCRUM environment.


  • Identify and resolve web performance, usability and scalability issues


  • Owns success - Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.


What You'll Need:


  • University degree in Bachelor of Engineering or a Master's degree in CS.


  • Must have 7-10 Years of experience in Solution, Design and Development of Cloud based web applications using Java, Javascript Framework (ReactJS/Angular/Ember etc), Microservices, Docker, SQL, Jenkins Pipeline


  • Must have extensive experience working with Oracle, or Postgres or equivalent enterprise RDBMS system.


  • In-depth understanding and track record of apply design patterns.


  • Experienced in using development tools, testing frameworks, servlet containers and techniques (Maven, JIRA, GIT/SVN, Bamboo/Jenkins, Selenium, JMeter, Tomcat, XP/TDD).


  • Ability to understand customer problems and experience.


  • Experience developing advanced customer friendly user experiences.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


  • Highly Motivated, Self-driven with problem solving skills.


  • Must be able to provide accurate estimates of technology work and deliver high quality work on schedule


  • Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks and technologies
