Babcock and Wilcox Construction Co., LLC is seeking a Work/Test Package Coordinator for a jobsite in Monaca, PA. This position will report to a manager from Great Arrow Builders LLC (GAB). GAB is a consolidated joint association formed to support direct hire construction work for the Pennsylvania Chemicals Project (Petrochemical Facility).
Role Overview:
The Work /Test Package Coordinator will report to the Area Field Engineer with guidance from Work Package Field Engineer.
Work with Field Engineering, field supervision, and welding to ensure Work Packages are downloaded, quality checked, and printed based off project schedule.
Review work packages for completeness and latest drawing revisions
Work with project teams to update Book Builder, SPC, InfoWorks, and Teamworks as needed to reflect updated scope
Redlining isometric drawings to add construction field welds and any field changes
Maintain electronic log of Work/ Test packages issued to field.
Maintains effective communication with other project team members, the client and field personnel to ensure quality and schedule
Works well in a team environment.
Maintain strong organizational skills, and attention to detail which is imperative.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high energy team environment.
Execute the printing and assembly of various work package print requests.
Basic Qualifications:
Highschool diploma required
2 years in similar industry or construction field preferable
Familiarity with the piping discipline is preferred
Experience with construction Work packaging is preferred
Competent to use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel...)
Familiarity with construction databases such as Teamworks is preferred
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and to accuracy.
Planning scope of work, establishes priorities in assigned areas of responsibility
Excellent written and oral communication skills - there will be a need to keep regular contact with project personnel
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high energy, team environment.
Working to deadlines and managing time and workload. We anticipate the flow of documents to fluctuate, therefore, ability to manage workload.
Support and perform audits for quality assurance, internal technical reviews, client reviews, and ISO 9001 audits
Development and implementation of the records retention and turnover plans
Ability to work overtime when required.
Willingness to get involved with overall project work package activities where required. Able to handle multiple tasks.
Additional Information:
Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
This position is full time, contracted ~4-6 month assignment, hourly position that operates on job site
Must be willilng to park offsite and get transported into the jobsite
