Job Description:

McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure clinical track Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of General Elective Surgery.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The selected candidate will contribute to the department's mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other service.

This position will be working with the Center for Obesity Medicine and Metabolic Performance at Memorial City and the Texas Medical Center. Candidate will be expected to actively participate in the teaching and academic activities of the Department of Surgery.

Qualifications:

The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. American Board of Surgery certification required.
