We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Insurance Verification Representative.

The Insurance Verification Representative will verify information received via computer system on patient charts. Looks for and obtains missing information and inputs into the computer system. Level II Production from 380 to 409 charts verified per day.

Responsibilities

Verify that all demographic and insurance information is present in the chart
• Confirm the accuracy of both insurance and patient information that is in the billing system.


• Use workflow to input information into the system.


• Confirm that the time management and admit information is accurate in the billing system.


• Identity any changes made to client information.


• Identify any changes made by payors in each state.


• Keep management informed of any problems viewing scanned charts.


• Other duties as assigned


• Reads and abides by the company's code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs


• Reports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company


• Obtains clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so


• Support and abide by the values of the company

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.


• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.


• Strong Data entry skills


• Good computer skills including the ability to be on multiple screens at once as well as use the zoom in and zoom out feature


• Flexible, high achiever with ability to learn quickly and meet department goals and deadlines consecutively.


• Strong attention to detail.


• Organized with excellent follow through abilities.


• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in English.
