AMETEK Solidstate Controls (SCI) is in the business of providing continuity of electrical power to keep businesses in business. Job Summary

The Mfg. Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all material activities relative to aftermarket demand for SCI and/or Prestolite. Experienced individual who assists the Logistics Manager with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the procedures and protocols in regard to proper logistics coordination.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate all material activities relative to aftermarket for SCI and/or Prestolite.
• Work in conjunction with the sales team in Columbus/Troy to meet customer demands and expectations.
• Pull, box and ship material based off sales order.
• Create work orders as specified on sales order
• Responsible for creating documentation for shipments and inventory transactions as indicated on sales orders
• Review and report on backlog and all open sales orders daily.
• Act as the inventory liaison relative to inventory activity and accuracy.
• Report part shortages to purchasing team, track shortages to ensure parts are shipped as they are received.

Position Requirements:
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Must have background that includes knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
High Degree of computer skills, Excel knowledge a plus.
Working knowledge of inventory management
Experience working with Oracle a plus
Knowledge of raw materials and production scheduling
Knowledge of quality control programs, planning and organizing
Attention to detail, decision-making
Strong communication skills.
Show ability to solve complex problems individually and quickly
Strong written communication skills

Education Experience

High School diploma, college degree a plus, 2 years of previous experience in a manufacturing, logistics coordination environment.

Physical Requirements

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.

Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound.
Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
