Position Overview
Oldcastle Infrastructure Inc. (OI) is looking for an Integration Engineer (IE) to join our Business Systems team. The IE is responsible for the strategy, development, and implementation of all software, application, and third-party solution integrations required to meet the needs of the business. This position will also review and test the interoperability of any in-house or off-the-shelf deployed software including external SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions when necessary. The role requires strong technical expertise, proven problem-solving skills, and knowledge of integration best practices.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Develop an integration architecture blueprint and build a prioritized roadmap.
Implements and manages domain strategies for all environments (Dev/Test/Production).
Plan, execute, and manage integration projects to fulfill business requirements, resolve system issues, and optimize the end-user experience.
Create system documentation, project plans, test scripts and education materials.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical colleges to gain understanding of application architectures and required functionality.
Work with end users and team members to determined software specifications, hardware requirements and process workflows.
Gather feedback from analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of newly-integrated software programs and applications.
Evaluate integration projects and make recommendations based on findings.
Research and make recommendations on integration products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
Provide updates to management on project progress
Provides technical support documents to the service desk and assists in ticket resolution when needed.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
At least 7+ years of increasingly responsible experience in information technology technical support
5+ years of experience in enterprise-level application integration.
3+ years of experience integrating with ERP platforms using best practice solutions.
Relevant experience working within a large, multifaceted organization, consisting of cross-functional teams.
Project management experience is preferred.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Advanced knowledge of Mulesoft, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Server, Fivetran & Snowflake
Familiarity with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics AX, or other large scale ERPs.
Understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS), data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing.
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), ETL / ELT, user security apps, enterprise service bus applications, physical & virtual environments.
Proven experience in developing enterprise solutions for cross-functional applications capable of supporting disparate business units.
Ability to communicate complex, technical solutions to non-technical team members.
Ability to evaluate emerging technologies to determine a fit within the existing enterprise architecture.
Attention to detail with an exceptional ability to identify and remediate solution risks
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks while maintaining control of solution delivery
Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
