As the Maintenance Technician for our Beverly affordable housing complexes, you will help provide general and ongoing maintenance to ensure a safe and secure property both inside and outside YMCA properties. During a regular day, you will respond to resident maintenance requests promptly including day to day high priority needs or emergencies, general upkeep and maintenance of multiple properties, and ensure apartments are prepared for new residents. You will be responsible for internal building upkeep including apartment preparation and transition such as caulking, painting, stripping and waxing of floors, furniture replacement, basic plumbing, and facilities cleanliness and sanitization. The maintenance technician is also responsible for maintaining the grounds of our housing complex, including snow removal and sidewalk care as well as lawn care and landscaping. This role requires flexibility and the ability to respond in the event of an emergency, hours may vary, but will typically follow a typical Monday-Friday schedule.
To thrive in this position, you must be able to prioritize daily tasks and have strong time management skills. You are able to build positive and authentic relationships through daily interactions with residents, have a general knowledge of the basic trades including plumbing, electrical, repair, HVAC, and carpentry, and a strong attention to detail.
