AVP - Execution Lead and Product Owner

We are looking for an innovative, results-oriented leader with requisite experience and enthusiasm to implement strategic organizational design changes for our North America businesses. The successful candidate must have experience with the planning and implementation of data, process and business automation across the insurance value chain. They will be self-motivated, creative and able to independently lead large scale strategic initiatives.

 The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between the business, our technology organization, system integrators (SI) and external partners by planning, conducting and directing the analysis of highly complex automation opportunities. 

Key Accountabilities include:

- Independently Lead multiple concurrent medium to large scale/complex IPA transformational strategic projects focused on data and process automation

- May design, write, update and document workflows as a result of system/product changes, regulatory updates, new strategic initiatives, or discovery efforts

- Identifies, documents, and communicates impact of changes to operations roles, while driving efficiency

- Leverages appropriate program/project management methodologies to ensure clarity of project intent and objective

- Creates and maintains a multi-year roadmap and manages capability delivery to ensure successful business consumption

- Partners with Operations Process Owners to ensure desired automation is achieved, enhancements are prioritized and machine learning improvements are continually reviewed and assessed

- Creates clear, concise content that presents information in a factual, consumable way to enable decision making and support change management

- Drives the development of the CBA and funding approval for all stages of the effort from Discovery through execution and benefit realization

- Builds and fosters strong relationships within Operations and across the broader organization

- Analyzes and resolves escalated problems and trends, coordinating associated activity through various areas if needed, including recommending action steps, facilitating improvements, and providing timely and accurate updates to stakeholders

- Ensures status reports and monthly governance documents completed timely and accurately reflect work progression and status

- Shares information and best practices cross functionally

- As a Product Owner, provides vision and direction to the Agile development team(s) and stakeholders throughout the project and assists in creating and validating requirements including feature details and acceptance criteria

- Defines the features of the product or the outcome of the project

- Establishes the vision, verifies the AS IS, gap and remedial plan

- Prioritizes features/outcomes according to business value adjusting feature outcomes and priority as needed to ensure ROI and benefit realization

- Determines and communicates the scope of the project

Identifies the stakeholder in the project and actively drives stakeholder engagement throughout the effort

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field

- Seven + years’ experience in either a consulting, project management, or process improvement role

- PMP or Agile Certification or equivalent experience

- IPA/Machine Learning implementation

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

- Change Champion

- Experience working in a multi-discipline, matrix structure team fostering collaboration

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior leaders toward transformational ideas

- Strong technical capabilities for purposes of coordinating/managing technology-related projects, and collaborating with technical areas

- Demonstrated ability to compile and present information across various levels within the organization

- Experience working in a multi-discipline, matrix structure, team fostering collaboration

- Strong skills in Microsoft suite
