The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As the Manager of the Product Owner team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing direct supervision to assigned staff, including hiring, establishing and tracking goals and objectives, training, and facilitating the performance review process.


• Mentoring and coaching assigned staff in best practice performance of Product Owner duties within an Agile/Scrum development environment, including backlog refinement, stakeholder input, prioritization, and delivery of quality releases.


• Working closely with Chief Product Owners and Product Managers to ensure alignment of staff with business priorities and deliverables that meet client needs.


• Providing and facilitating clear, concise communication with team, peers and managers including status reporting, raising critical issues, and giving constructive feedback.


• Participating in relevant corporate programs/initiatives


• Ensuring professional, quality and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties


• Complying with corporate policies and procedures while acting in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher(completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution  and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience in Healthcare or Software industry in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree education requirement. 


• Seven (7) years of experience in Healthcare Software industry


• Three (3) years of experience in an Agile software development environment


• Three (3) years of supervision/team lead experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)


• Experience with 3M™ 360 Encompass and/or 3M™ Codefinder software


• Experience with TFS


• Computer programming exposure


• Experience with Microsoft Office suite

Travel: Up to 25% travel may be required
