Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a discipline that combines software and systems engineering for building and running large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that internal and external services meet or exceed reliability and performance expectations while adhering to Equifax engineering principles.

SRE is also an engineering approach to building and running production systems – we engineer solutions to operational problems. As SREs are responsible for overall system operation, we use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad set of problems. Practices such as limiting time spent on operational work, blameless postmortems, proactive identification, and prevention of potential outages.

What You’ll Do


  • Be responsible for working on building, automating, and supporting application and infrastructure deployment services that target Equifax’s Public Cloud Environments.


  • Design and implement monitoring and self-healing processes


  • Identify and Implement Process Improvements and documentation


  • Design and implement orchestration/workflows that integrate multiple services to provide self-service fully automated services.


  • Utilize engineering and programming skills focused on enabling a DevOps model


  • Configuration and change management


  • Develop and document operations run books


  • Lead, manage and develop team from a technical and managerial perspective


  • Provide input on the future execution of the delivery and management of environments with a strong emphasis on automation, security, scalability and resilience


  • Metrics Management: gathering metrics, calculations/organization to "tell the story", and visualizations via charts/graphs/tables/dashboards


  • Service Desk/Catalog Management


Qualifications:


  • BS or Associate's Degree/Technical Certification or equivalent job experience required


  • Must have 3-4 years of management experience.


  • 7+ years’ in DevOps/SRE role/Experience with Google Suite Tools, Confluence and JIRA


  • Experience with scripting tools (python, bash, groovy, etc)/understanding of infrastructure and application components /Agile Principles


  • Experience using or integrating CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, Nexus


Extra Points for any of the Following


  • Experience using tools/technologies to develop Infrastructure as ode (IAC) such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet


  • Experience designing/developing Policy as Code /Software development experience in 2 or more languages


  • Experience with one or more Public Cloud Providers (Google, Amazon, Azure)


  • Experience creating Data Analytics using tools such as Google's BigQuery and DataStudio
