What You’ll Do
Director - Technology will provide leadership across the technology platform. Responsibilities will include:
Strong partnership and collaboration with Architect(s) to ensure the balance between business functionality needs and the architecture and engineering health of the platform
Responsible for all aspects of managing the team including setting goals and objectives, managing performance, developing associates, staffing, promotions, and salary administration
Lead improvement, standardization, and automation of existing development processes
Leverage appropriate data and reporting tools to manage the performance of the team and communicate this to senior management.
Budgeting and forecasting of expenses, ensuring financial commitments are met.
Ensure that the core data and infrastructure are secure.
Meet with internal and external clients on a regular basis
Mentoring team members to achieve their full potential.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
7+ years experience development based professional experience
This included proven experience in software development methodologies and in high-level programming languages.
Proven experience building complex web systems.
7+ years experience in debugging, diagnosing, and trouble-shooting complex, production software
Ability to operate across a broad and complex business unit with multiple stakeholders
5+ years experience in Agile environments that accompanies an agile product mindset
3+ years of Atlassian tooling experience (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, GitHub)
Extra Points for any of the Following
Experience in I-9 Business system
Working knowledge in Google Cloud Platform is desirable
Cloud computing, SaaS (Software as a Service)
Detailed knowledge of modern software development life cycles including CI / CD
Understanding of design patterns
Understanding of TDD - Test Driven Development knowledge (Ideally, not a hard requirement)
