Job Description:

Westminster Communities of Florida is actively recruiting for a Home Health Staffing Coordinator for its location in St. Petersburg, FL. This position will coordinate staffing schedules and ensure staffing for clients on all shifts; will provide supervision for new Home Health employees and assist in developing individualized orientation plans based on the learning needs of employees. This is a full-time position.

JOB SUMMARY: Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure staffing for clients on all shifts.  Provide supervision for new Home Health employees and assist in developing individualized orientation plans based on the learning needs of employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for preparing the monthly schedule for nurses and aides based on census needs. The schedule must be posted at least 2 weeks in advance.


2. Post daily and or weekly updates to the schedule.


3. Submit approved Missed Punch Forms, Lunch Break Forms and other payroll related documentation on a bi-weekly basis. Accuracy and timeliness are required for this function.


4. Maintain a record of Call-offs and no-call/no-shows. Immediately inform the Director of Home Care of employee’s unplanned absences.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma required.  Minimum 2 years staffing experience, preferably in nursing.

Experience and Basic Knowledge:

The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented individual with good time management and relationship building skills.  Must be familiar with long term care of the older adult and the state and federal rules and regulations governing skilled nursing facilities and adult congregate living facilities.  Must have the ability to effectively communicate with staff members when preparing the monthly schedule.
