Type: Full-Time
Support commercial manufacturing and product development initiatives through performing laboratory experiments. The responsibilities include preparing transdermal systems, testing the attributes of transdermal systems and their components, and documenting experimental studies.
Competencies:
Basic scientific knowledge of chemistry and engineering with hands-on experience in laboratory works.
Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, or other scientific/engineering disciplines with 2-5 years of experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.
Judgment / Decision Making:
Ability to work under general direction with minimal supervision and utilize technical skills to find solutions that support the manufacturing and product development objectives of the company.
Work Environment:
Laboratory and manufacturing settings that can involve exposure to solvents, highly potent drugs, and potentially toxic compounds. May require to wear higher level personal protective equipment, up to full body containment suit with SCBA.
Physical Demands:
Lifting of heavy objects (50 pounds) can occasionally be required. Will need to pass pulmonary screening/testing required by OSHA to wear respirators and higher level air filtering/purifying devices.
