Product Support Specialist - Fusion Entertainment / Marine 12 Volt Audio products at Garmin International in Olathe, Kansas

Does the idea of sharing the latest in marine entertainment technology with customers excite you? If so, Garmin is hiring a full-time Fusion/Marine Product Support Specialist and we’d love to hear from you! 

In this role, you will serve as a Fusion Entertainment product expert and help our customers get back to their passion by solving customer inquiries regarding disruptions in their Fusion products or services, while also using internal tools to identify, escalate and resolve product defects to further enhance the product and user experience.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Other essential functions include:


  • Efficiently answer and solve customer technical inquiries regarding Fusion Entertainment product and service disruptions and troubleshoot via telephone, email and chat


  • Must display superior customer service and communication skills and always maintain professional interactions with Fusion Entertainment customers and associates


  • Ensure customer orders, repairs and exchanges are completed accurately and efficiently


  • Proficiently communicate interactions with customer contacts via internal tools


  • Identify, diagnose and report product defects utilizing internal tools


  • Thoroughly documents work in an organized and timely manner


  • Remain current on changes in policies, procedures and product offerings


  • Develop and maintain company image and philosophy to the public


  • Become an expert in Garmin’s Fusion Entertainment products, features and capabilities.

Additional essential functions for bilingual Product Support Specialist:


  • Translate Product Support content to assist customers in their native language

  • Become an expert in Garmin products, features and capabilities for all product lines

Qualified candidates for this role will possess a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Other requirements include:


  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.


  • Previous experience installing and troubleshooting 12 Volt audio systems is highly desired.


  • Previous experience with setting up networks and knowledge of IT systems is desired


  • Demonstrated ability to provide expert customer service across all contact channels (e.g. chat, phone, email)


  • Personal or professional demonstrated expert technical aptitude, problem solving and troubleshooting ability


  • Must exhibit professionalism, be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others


  • Demonstrated computer skills and ability to navigate multiple screens
