Job Description:

Test and calibrate circuit boards and other assemblies; trouble-shoot and repair non-functional or defective assemblies; perform tests and procedures on items returned to LI-COR for repair or service; other job related duties as assigned.

Professional Qualifications

Education

  • Associates Degree in Electronic Systems Technology or equivalent is required

Experience

  • Must have a general knowledge and understanding of analog and digital electronics fundamentals.

  • Manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required.

  • Some evidence that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the Job Functions listed below.


General

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

  • Excellent physical dexterity and motor skills to use tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as under direction of others.

  • Must have a proven aptitude for learning.

  • Must be able to perform tasks quickly with precision.

  • Must be able to follow written and oral instruction and communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers.

  • Must have good reading (English) and comprehension skills.

  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to distinguish colors.

  • Ability to comprehend and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Good computer skills.

  • Must be dependable and have good attendance.


Position Responsibilities

  • Follow provided written test procedures and oral instruction for testing and calibrating assemblies.

  • Set up and operate bench test equipment such as digital voltmeter, frequency counter, oscilloscope, power-supplies and personal computers.

  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams and operation descriptions in order to isolate defective components or manufacturing defects in assemblies.

  • Repair or replace defective components as needed to restore functionality to assemblies.

  • Record and report defects as they are found during the test process.

  • Maintain all appropriate written and electronic records related to Specific Job Functions.

  • Good attention to detail and responsible to see that tasks are carried through to completion.

  • Interact with others in a friendly, cooperative, and respectful manner.

  • Be accepting of Rush orders and tasks.

  • Must be dependable and have good attendance.

  • Other job related duties as assigned.
