Job Description:

The Senior Development Accountant position will be responsible for maintaining all accounting records related to our Development department, and corporate aircrafts. This includes both accounts receivable and accounts payable duties.

Reports to: Divisional Controller

Roles and Responsibilities

The duties listed below are an outline of the Senior Accountants responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the company change, these duties may be modified as needed.
Accounts Receivable, reviews expense reports and bills back credit cards charges to responsible parties, overhead recovery of expenses, billing and collections of flight time revenueMonthly state sales tax filingsAccounts Payable, reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and pre-development budget complianceEnter all Pre-Development cost in Construction Accounting System and responsible for new projects until hand-off to constructionWorks closely with the development department and attains approvals of all invoices prior to paymentSupports Development with reports as neededAssembles Monthly Pre-Development Expense draws for reimbursement from investment partnersAssembles Pre-Development draws for closingsAssist with hand off and create binders with project related informationMaintains vendor relationsFilingCo-Ordinate with outside accounting firm for quarterly/annual tax filingsOnline tax paymentsDownload, attain signatures and certified mail tax returnsDownload and reconcile multiple bank accountsAssist with preparation of 1099sMaintain W-9sMaintain COIAssist during audits
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred2-5 years of relevant experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsA motivated self-starter, problem solver and team playerStrong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and leadership skillsAble to meet weekly/monthly deadlinesAbility to handle multiple high priority projectsWorks closely with Divisional Controller and Treasury Accounting Manager on special projects as assigned
