Resources for Human Development's New Perspectives program is open and hiring fora Full-Time Program Specialist in the Stroudsburgarea. The Program Specialist will provide administrative support to the Program Leadership including, but not limited to data collection, quality assurance activities, and representation of the program to internal RHD and external stakeholders. The Program Specialist assures that the integrity of the phone and mobile crisis service programs is maintained and that all operational procedures and regulations are followed.

Responsibilities/Duties




  • Ensure that HIPAA regulations are complied with and that all paperwork and required documentation is completed in a timely, thorough, accurate manner as per regulations.

  • Ensure incident reports are complete, accurate, and timely with corrective action taken when necessary.Input all reportable incidents and follow-up into EIM?

  • Must be aware and knowledgeable of Title 55, Public Welfare Part VII Mental Health, andChapter 5240 Crisis Intervention Services.

  • Train direct care staff in the individual support plans as well as mentor them in the day-to-day implementation and documentation.

  • Process of creating ISP's and advocating for consumers with the Supports Coordinator.

  • Maintain client files that include annual assessments and Individual Support Plans, as well as any supporting documents as per applicable regulations.



Required Experience




  • Five Years of prior related experience in a crisis or mental health setting

  • Two Years of supervisory experience



Required Education



  • Bachelor's degree in a social service or related field REQUIRED.


Required Qualifications




  • Valid Drivers License

  • Ability to pass Criminal and FBI Checks



Program Summary



New Perspectives Telephone and Mobile Crisis Intervention Services provide assessment, crisis intervention counseling, crisis stabilization, referral and linkage with other services, and assessment of the need for emergency hospitalization at consumers' homes or at other community locations. The Medical Mobile Crisis Intervention Service provides a registered nurse and a mental health professional who, in collaboration with a licensed psychiatrist, assess crises related to consumers' psychiatric medication.
