Job Description:

Summary Responsible for the daily administration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure, including but not limiting to hardware and software pertaining to network and network security.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


  • Deployment and maintenance of network devices such as but not limited to firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.

  • Monitor and create reports for network intrusions, disruptions, and utilization of the network that are against policies.

  • Deployment of software and application designed to manage and maintain the network environment.

  • Cooperate and engage with vendors to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot network software, hardware, and applications.

  • Proactively perform due diligence research to enhance the network environment's efficiency, reliability, and security.

  • Efficiently self-manages time to ensure prompt and accurate completion of projects, tasks, and responsibilities.

  • Travel for deployment and maintenance of software and hardware.

  • Offers technical support and training to Origin employees and affiliated entities.

  • Maintain documentation of existing and changes to the network environment.

  • Maintain communication of active and completed activities on a regular basis.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with IS Certification and four years related experience; or Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in CIS and two years related experience in similar environment; or CCNA Certification or Higher, with four years of experience with network and security.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess expert knowledge of the following technologies: Current Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suites; Structure data cabling, patch panels, etc; Networking in hypervisor environments like Nutanix, VMware, etc.; Advance Networking, Routing, and Application Protocols; Configuration of modern firewalls and networking equipment such as Arista, Palo Alto, Aruba, Cisco.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
