Technology Architect - US at Infosys in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a Big Data Architect with experience in Hadoop and Spark. The position will primarily be responsible for identifying best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; develop design of application, provide regular support/guidance to project teams on complex coding, issue resolution and execution. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. Required Qualifications:
 

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Phoenix, AZ or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US and Canada.


• Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent, will consider work experience in lieu of a degree


• At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology


• 5+ years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks


• 5+ years of experience in Hadoop ecosystem, i.e. Hadoop, Hive, Scala, SPARK, Kafka, Python, NoSQL database technologies


• Understanding and knowledge of Hadoop architecture and various components such as high availability architecture, experience in workload management, scalability and distributed platform architecture, Spark tools like RDD transformations, Spark MLIB etc.


• Hands on experience in Hadoop technologies, Spark


• Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle


• Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies

 
Preferred Qualifications:  
 

• Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point


• High degree of proven Competency in design and deliverying End to End Enterprise Scale BI and Analytics solution. 


• Atleast 5 years of Hands on Experience in Big Data ( Hadoop ecosystem leveraging tools such as spark, Hive, Pig, Sqoop & others


• 4+ years of experience in Design and architecture review


• 2+ years of experience in thought leadership and leadership/mentoring of staff and internal consulting teams


• Experience in Python & Spark with advance programming skills. 


• Background in all aspects of software engineering with strong skills in parallel data processing, data flows, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and micro service architecture


• Experience with design and implementation of ETL/ELT framework for complex warehouses/marts. Knowledge of large data sets and experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting


• Hands-on development mentality, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems


• High degree of competency in Python, Java programing


• CI / CD exposure


• Strong written and oral communication skills


• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment


• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel


•  Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment


• Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to diverse teams namely, technical, business and management teams


• Experience managing team size of 4-5 would be a plus


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

 
 
The job may entail extensive travel.  The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.  Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
