The Administrative Assistant will support The Senior Medical Director and The Provider Partnership Clinical Team, along with two other Regional Medical Directors. Must be effective at supporting individuals and the team. This team is provider-facing, and the administrative assistant must be adept at communicating within Blue Shield of California and with provider organizations and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Will be responsible for the preparation of reports, graphs, and presentations, conducting research and illustrating data using spreadsheet, database, and graphic software.
Assists with onboarding new employees.
May coordinate special projects and department activities.
Screens calls, takes, and delivers messages, provides information to callers and in response to emails.
Provides administrative services including managing calendars, organizing meetings, collecting, recording, sorting, and filing information, preparing routine reports, managing supplies, making travel arrangements, and coordinating PTO requests.
Uses technology, tools, and business applications such as Outlook, Oracle, Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, Expense Management and Travel Software.
Acts as an information source on organization policies and procedures. Internal expert on Blue Shield administrative systems.
Professional approach, attention to detail, and strong teamwork are essential to the role.

Knowledge and Experience
Administrative Assistant experience, preferably providing support within a healthcare environment
At least 7 years of experience in an Administrative Assistant/Supportive role
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills with an ability to research, learn and implement new applications
Strong organization, and problem-solving skills
High integrity and confidentiality are imperative
Exceptional interpersonal skills
