Bio-Rad is seeking a Global Senior Cost Accountant. As a Cost Accountant at Bio-Rad, you will be a key part of the corporate finance team supporting Manufacturing/Global Supply Chain (GSC). You will be expected to have in-depth knowledge of your customer business unit or function in order to provide cost accounting responsibilities. You are a highly motivated, technically proficient person with a strong sense of ownership and business ethics to deliver quality work on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
Manage the global standard cost update (CK40N) with US and EMEA Controllers/Cost Accounting Managers.
Coordinate with the US and EMEA Controllers/Cost Accounting Managers to calculate Labor, OH and Material Burden rates.
Year End LRD Cost Update.
Year End I/C Cost Update.
Coordinate with the GSCP to update of Purchase Info Records.
Coordinate with the US and EMEA Controllers/Cost Accounting Managers to review the changes done to BOMs, Routings and Batch size.
Coordinate calculation of Production Hours with P2M COE.
Prepare and review global cost update results with management.
Standard cost setting for Standard Costing changes and New Product Introduction (NPI).
Assist with Material Ledger close including KSII process and ML Costing Run.
Responsible for the review, approval and posting of all MR22 transactions.
Responsible for all Cap Variance manual accounts, including MR21 and MR22 Automatic Accounts.
MR21 and MR22 monthly reconciliation for all company codes.
Validate all manual cap variance adjustments for all company codes.
Responsible for formalizing approved global procedures and training.
Support day-to-day Standard Cost Setting for Material updates when needed and support costing of NPI materials.
Support the Global Manufacturing Controller in process changes or process improvement with training or documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Ability to effectively communicate at various organizational levels.
5+ years experience in cost accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SAP Experience a must. SAP Implementation, SAP MM and CO Experience. SAP Costing Run for multiple company codes.
Ability to work in cross-functional and remote teams.
Strong technical skills including knowledge of GAAP and sound understanding of financial statement mechanics.
Multi-Tasking: Able to work on multiple priorities at the same time. Works effectively cross functionally within the organization.
