Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Communicate with material management
Track the detail of daily department performance
SIC tracking
Locate pallets in Order Assembly (rework product)
Re-label or re-date product as needed
Drive lowboy or fill in on the line as needed
Perform periodic temperature, leaker and burst tank checks
Submit work requests
Train team members
Learn & specialize machinery and equipment
Fill in for breaks
Perform regular quality checks and drive improvement of quality/efficiency in the room
Make sure that all employees are following SOPs and safety rules
Verify that everything is put away at the end of the day
Verify the schedule and plan accordingly to make sure that all orders are met
Ensure product flow in and out of productions rooms
Manage staging of products for smooth transition
Manage product flow to maximize efficiencies
Identify, communicate and assist in identifying/resolving process deviations and other process related issues
Assist in data entry for overall department performance trending
Utilize Avantis work order system to communicate PIT and other trades issues
Understanding and working knowledge of systems, including (but not limited to) ERP, Portean, Accusort, etc
Order supplies as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have the ability to:
Read,writeand comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Basic computer and data entry skills
Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
