Job Description:

Summary

The Product Manager manages one or more products within a product line for an industry vertical. Reporting to the Product Manager may be a product owner or business analyst(s) depending on the number of products being supported. The product manager discovers what users need, prioritizes what to build next, and rallies the team around a product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities


  • Meet established KPIs and report effectiveness to ELT

  • Understand their product intimately; technically and strategically

  • Research market needs and understand product placement and differentiation in the market

  • Conduct competitor research

  • Work with customers to create new products or sellable modules within existing products that delight them. Assess what customers need in the future, and conduct focus groups as necessary

  • Manage the long-term roadmap, involving sales, marketing, implementations, clients, prospects, partners, and other groups

  • Demo our products for customers

  • Partner with marketing and sales to develop an appropriate go to market strategy for new products or modules including a financial value proposition

  • Partner with engineering and internal customers to meet production deadlines and satisfy internal customers

  • Attend refinement meetings and standups as appropriate

  • Support penetration of their products in the market through feature enhancements

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or engineering required. MBA preferred with an emphasis in Marketing or Product Management. If a non-business undergraduate was achieved, an MBA or appropriate level of leadership experience is required.

  • 8+ years in healthcare commercial product management preferred with identified responsibility

  • A strong background in agile product delivery and working with agile product teams are key

  • Experienced with agile methodologies and tools such as confluence and Jira

  • Experience with high volume data systems and has worked in a regulatory environment

  • Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills

  • Strong analytical and financial skills.

  • Technologically proficient - Able to use tools such as Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, CRM, HubSpot, Wordpress, Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and supervise others that will use them.

Helpful / Preferred


  • MBA preferred

  • Prior experience leading remote teams

  • Prior experience in healthcare IT

Travel

  • Some travel may be involved for both training and customer facing issues.
