SUMMARY
Perform duties to provide janitorial cleaning services, following prescribed routines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work from verbal instructions to:
  • *Rotate between various plant sections on a regular basis for janitorial cleaning work assignments.
  • *Refresh mop buckets for production employees to keep their own local area clean.
  • *Sweep and mop floors within production areas
  • *Clean main aisle areas of plant areas using floor scrubbers.
  • *Remove and empty trash and recycling materials.
  • *Remove and combine metal scrap in proper container. (Forklift Experience required.)
  • *Maintain scrap tracking log.
  • *Clean washroom fixtures and replenish paper and hand soap.
  • *Dust, vacuum, clean windows, and wash walls of designated areas.
  • *Remove snow from parking lot, driveways and walkways by using snow thrower or shovel.
  • *Picking up litter from grounds areas.
  • *Picking up and deliver items in local area as required.
  • *Maintain janitorial supply inventory and work with maintenance scheduler on reordering materials. (weekly)
  • *Assist skilled maintenance workers in manual tasks.
  • Coolant and waste oil management as needed.
  • Perform minor painting of areas and wash company vehicles as required.
  • Steam clean and wash down machines as needed.
  • Use power scrubbers, overhead hoist, scissors lift, highjack, forklift, trash compactor, power hoist, hand trucks, mops, snow blower, brooms, shovels, hand tools and standard janitorial supplies.

Preferences:
Preference will be given to current qualified employees.
  • Forklift Experience
Required
Minimum 6 months Industrial janitorial experience
  • Ability to run power scrubbers
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
Skills and Competencies
  • Must have basic reading comprehension and writing skills, be able to work from verbal and written instructions, be capable of working with computer terminals and be able to complete routine paperwork.
  • Must be quality and detail oriented.
  • Must have good attendance and work record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle last minute requests.
Computers and Technology
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Handle multiple transactions including researching system discrepancies.
  • Proficient in JDE Shop floor and inventory modules.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
