Job Title: Assistant Director of PERA Communications - Sports Information (10 months)

Reports to (Position Name): Director of PERA Communications and New Media
Position Summary
Manages day-to-day varsity sports communications during the fall, winter and spring seasons that include writing game stories, press releases, maintaining website information and statistics related to teams, and supervising student staff at home events.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Writing game stories, press releases, maintaining website information and statistics related to teams
Using the latest statistical software to provide in-game and post-game data
Assist with webcasting home events and other special events as needed
Assist in creating materials for end of year celebration and annual reports
Contributions to social media content as well as training for student-athletes, coaches, and staff
Supervisor Responsibilities
Game day student workers (hiring, scheduling, training, performance, evaluation)
Education
Bachelor's degree
Experience
Entry level, prior experience as a Graduate Assistant or 1-2 years in sports information office
Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of NCAA LiveStats, Presto Stats, StatCrew, Hy-Tek, ability to use PhotoShop, InDesign. iMovie and/or Adobe Premiere. Knowledge of website content management systems (PrestoSports or Sidearm) and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) and social media management/schedule, social media analytics.
