What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Create production purchase orders (POs) based on the handoffs or plans sent by customer planners

  • Update daily production POs based on schedule numbers provided by the scheduler

  • Change the material BOM to reflect correct materials whenever necessary

  • Run and analyze daily SAP reports required to make the changes in forecasting and to adjust the material POs

  • Produce daily MRP reports, including the purchase order rescheduling report and the ME5A report 

  • Coordinate with vendors to adjust POs, confirm delivery dates and to update the SAP material database for lead times, minimum quantity, scrap ratios, etc.

  • Address scheduler queries to check for material availability related to planner requests

  • Lead change (project, program, service level agreement, process and organizational) initiatives that impact the broader Supply Chain and has a connection to warehousing and logistics operations

  • Closely monitor the Warehouse implementation timeline, support the team on getting to the final Go live date and escalate any issues that may develop during the warehouse set-up and deployment of the operations

  • Drive best in class risk, compliance and control management, making sure to provides a robust risk assessment, aligned with OMS, Safety and Quality principles

 

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience

  • 2 years of experience in comprehensive supply chain or logistics

  • Experience preparing, importing and manipulating information in spreadsheets and databases; experience creating presentations

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills (macros, v-lookups, etc.)

  • Experience supporting warehouse management systems (WMS), order management applications and database systems

  • Experience converting raw data into actionable data

It’d be great if you also have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain or related field

  • Availability to travel during the training process

  • Experience with SAP

  • Ability to create solution-based reports to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction

  • Understanding of fundamental warehouse operations and supply chain structure

  • Project Management Experience
