The Power & Water Solutions Gas Turbine Solutions group provides fully engineered control system solutions for power plants around the globe.  The group focuses on the replacement of existing plant control systems with Ovation and provides all project management, engineering design, system integration, test, and commissioning services to deliver comprehensive solutions to our customers. As the successful candidate, you will be an essential part of the Gas Turbine Solutions group with responsibilities for Gas Turbine retrofit installation engineering, Field service installation, and customer satisfaction for projects of Distributed Control System solutions in the Gas Turbine control, Balance of Plant of the power industry. 

AS A GAS TURBINE INSTALLATION FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 

• Engage in implementation and testing phases of combustion turbine controls projects


• Verify and functionally test I/O interfaces to field devices


• Test gas turbines, auxiliary and balance of plant equipment


• Design installation packages (I/O List, Wire List, Lift Land Lists etc..) on projects for site-works activities


• Manage and report site activities in support of outages. Provide supervision of installation sub-contractors at site during installation and commissioning


• Foster smooth collaboration and communication with project stake holders (internal project teams, customer project teams and onsite contractors)


• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions


• Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form


• Utilize your advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, decision-making and planning skills


• Participate actively in the development and documentation of a set of best practices and procedures related to our installation design solutions


• Participate in various assignments and meetings to acquire additional experience, sharpen skills and increase knowledge base

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science


• Minimum of zero to two years of related experience


• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers


• 70% + overnight travel by land and/or air to company facilities and customer sites


• Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position 

• Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering


• Experience working with contractors and union labor
