Production Technician I at Applied Industrial Technologies in Tualatin, Oregon

Job Description:

This job requires good oral and written communication skills, basic Microsoft Office applications proficiency, and a professional and courteous personality. The preferred candidate will have an aptitude toward basic electrical and mechanical skills with interest in future growth in electrical/mechanical engineering, and motion control/robotics.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Build Olympus Controls products following blueprints, schematics, and work instructions


• Build 30AWG and large cable assemblies using soldering irons and crimp tooling (IPC 620 certificationpreferred)


• Perform testing on cables and other Olympus Controls products per instructions


• UL 508A electrical panel wiring & troubleshooting


• Mechanical assembly of systems & sub-systems


• Effectively manage multiple projects to completion


• Communicate project status to the production manager and leads as needed


• Demonstrate Olympus Controls' values, commitment to quality, and best practices


• Document all product build details and changes as needed


• Maintain a neat and clean work environment


• Follows safety regulations


• Participate in the implementation of 5S


• Assist Olympus personnel with miscellaneous tasks including but not limited to trade showpreparation and setup, demo setup and design, and build lab test equipment


• Perform daily cleanup of production work area

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more


• 40 hours per week
