Partner with the best

The Sr. Quality Leader will be responsible for planning, developing, and directing Quality (QA/QC) functions for the global Visual Business product lines for Waygate Technologies, a Baker Hughes business, in Skaneateles, NY. In this role you will be responsible for establishing, overseeing, and leading Quality to ensure products and services are developed, produced, shipped, and repaired in compliance with Baker Hughes and customer specific requirements. In addition, you will collaborate during strategic planning on improvement initiatives for quality and reliability of products. You will manage internal and external relationships while ensuring Quality Management System compliance to ISO 9001. This role is a single point of accountability for Quality and collaborates daily with customers and employees globally.

As a Senior Quality Manager, you will be responsible for:


  • Support the site HSE safety culture and drive zero accidents/injuries

  • Communicate & reinforce our Baker Hughes Values of grow, collaborate, lead & care

  • Lead corrective action resolution for customer complaints, product, and process nonconformances to satisfy customers and compliance with ISO 9001.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor key quality processes, systems, and metrics to identify trends for improvement opportunities

  • Drive reduction in Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) for global product line

  • Work closely with the site leadership to drive Quality and LEAN programs, drive a continuous improvement culture, and define actions to enable the site and product line to become best in class when it comes to the quality of products or services delivered

  • Work cross-functionally with all departments to ensure the highest level of quality throughout the value stream

  • Manage quality audits (internal, 2nd and 3rd party) to ensure compliance to customer requirements and industry standards

  • Execute Quality Management Reviews

  • People Leadership role with direct report management responsibilities

  • Support and drive HSE compliance and policy

  • Domestic travel up to 10% can be expected

To be successful in this role you will have:

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university or college

  • Five to ten years' experience in a Quality leadership role in a manufacturing environment

Desired Skills:


  • Experience working with ISO 9001

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to collaborate in a highly matrixed organization

  • Able to organize, coordinate, monitor and execute on multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Able to work with all levels of the organization from line operators to senior executives

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated understanding of product development lifecycles, design change and document change control, manufacturing/production process control methodologies

  • Proven Auditor skills

  • Experience working efficiently without direct supervision

  • Lean Six Sigma GB
