Position Overview


The primary function of this Product Engineering position is be an integral part of the brand leadership team by continually providing data metrics to aid in determining brand direction; identifying product improvement opportunities; reporting on all facets of brand and product performance; managing product lifecycle; MRP system data entry and maintenance; and managing brand service and inventory levels. In summary the function is to provide brand metrics for all assigned Architectural Indoor linear branded lighting fixtures.


Duties and Responsibilities


Evaluate existing product performance and provide recommended action plans to brand management.


  • Identify, scope, and track product cost saving opportunities.

  • Manage and facilitate product lifecycle process.

  • Track, maintain, and develop action plans on all brand related inventory levels.

  • Champion development of reports/visualizations that are thorough, detailed, and able to be comprehended by a wide audience.

  • Gather and utilize data and metrics to identify opportunities and drive process improvements.

  • Adopt a proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options where appropriate.

  • Responds to and researches inquiries from brand management.

  • Create and maintain SAP systematic data as required.

  • Aid Product Management in new product brief creation.


Skills and Experience


SAP or other MRP system proficiency is preferred.


  • Systematic Data Creation, Entry, and Maintenance.

  • PowerBI experience is a preferred.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attentive to details and accuracy.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to work independently as well in a team environment as needed.

  • Excellent organizational/prioritization skills with ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.


Education


Bachelors Degree in Engineering General
