Pacific Life is looking for a bright, agile and diverse talent to contribute to our mission of innovating our business and creating a strong culture of integrity. We're actively seeking a compliance professional to join our Corporate Compliance department. As a Senior Compliance Analyst, you'll play a key role in administering the company's personal trading and employee reporting system (StarCompliance) while providing subject matter expertise across a range of investment regulatory responsibilities.

How You'll Contribute:


  • Work with compliance professionals within Corporate Compliance and across business units to administer procedures to implement Code of Ethics and employee disclosure responsibilities

  • Organize system standards with company guidelines for the automated delivery and receipt of periodic reporting. Analyze large data sets to evaluate and summarize issues relating to personal trading, potential conflicts of interest, and required certifications

  • Ensure that outside vendor supplied information is accurately transmitted and stored into StarCompliance

  • Assist with the review of the effectiveness of compliance controls established by SEC registered investment advisers and registered investment companies

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and exhibit strong partnering skills and ability to interact with all levels within the organization

  • Additional administrative and project work as assigned

Factors for Success:


  • Prior experience working directly with a personal trading and employee reporting system (such as StarCompliance, MyComplianceOffice, SchwabCT, etc.)

  • 5+ years' experience in a compliance role working with SEC registered investment advisers and/or mutual funds. Insurance or broker dealer experience helpful

  • Good judgment with the ability to spot issues and know when to escalate matters

  • Understanding of technical systems and database use

  • Flexibility to adjust priorities to meet changing timeframes and requests.

  • Ability to learn, adapt, multi-task, and adjust quickly in a dynamic environment

  • Undergraduate degree
