Job Description:

WellSky Transfusion (formerly HCLL Transfusion)supports quality patient care and drives efficiency bystreamlining collaborationamong the blood bank, lab, physicians, and nurses. Together, we can ensure smarter and safer blood management through our comprehensive platform.


Our Validation Specialist will Coordinate and execute project activities during Validation Services engagements, and ensure project success, satisfaction of contractual obligations, and transition of customers into a live customer service program.


A day in the life!


Key Activities:



  • Provide clinical and product expertise throughout the life-cycle of assigned projects.

  • Manage the customer relationship by setting expectations, understanding and meeting the customer's needs.

  • Respond to escalated validation related go-live requests per the established processes and criteria. May assist designated Project Managers with validation support to customers after hours and on weekends. Resolve problems efficiently and professionally by applying knowledge of software and applications.

  • Accurately and consistently document time expended and progress achieved against assigned activities within the division.

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to refine the division's Professional Services methodologies and practices.

  • Build reference customers by providing quality professional services and maximizing customer satisfaction during Professional Services engagements.

  • Accomplish specific objectives in conjunction with the strategic plan of the Company as defined by Management.

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the division's products and operations.

  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communications with customers, coworkers, and third parties.


Do you have what it takes?



  • Working knowledge of clinical software and software benefits.

  • Displays ability to effectively plan, organize and implement applicable tasks or projects in relation to established goals and objectives.

  • Knowledge of and ability to create, implement, evaluate and enhance internal control processes.

  • Manage compliancy with WellSky HIPAA Privacy and Security Practices and all required regulatory processes.


Job Requirements:



  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Transfusion Service and/or Donor Center using WellSky Transfusion (formerly HCLL Transfusion).

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Previous experience with Clinical Information System, Applications, and software tools such as Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, listening and problem-solving skills.

  • Degree in related field.

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for Medical Devices, Quality System Regulation, cGMPs related to Blood Bank/Transfusion, and other Regulatory Requirements

Preferred Requirements:



  • Prior experience with WellSky Transfusion and LifeTrak Software

  • Prior Validation Experience.

  • Medical Technology Degree. ASCP certification.
