Sr Financial Analyst, Finance Analytics and Governance

BIOTRONIK is looking to add a Sr Financial Analyst, Finance Analytics and Governance to our Finance team.  

About the team: The Finance Analytics and Governance Team provides tactical and strategic support to our business partners by enhancing and improving processes around internal business intelligence and data governance capabilities.  We strive for accuracy, timeliness, and relevance, while also providing insightful analysis and data to the various groups we support.

About the role: This role requires a result oriented and organized candidate determined to be a subject matter expert for rebate and data governance processes and the operation and maintenance of the processes and software used. RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Works closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, HR and Legal teams to ensure accurate customer rebate and incentive plan administration, compliance, calculations and results.

  • Read, understand and translate contractual customer agreements into liability calculations and system configuration settings. 

  • Compiles, calculates and processes customer incentive payouts. 

  • Creates, reviews and analyzes data to summarize performance and contract efficiency.

  • General understanding of compensation practices and trends

  • Set up and maintain rebate agreements, including the management of rebate records and documentation.

  • Become a process subject matter expert.

  • Perform research and analysis to identify and resolve incentive discrepancies related to various financial and/or business partner requirements.

  • Cross Train to run month-end incentive calculations, including calculating certain manual adjustments, including reconciling payments.

  • Creation of and publication of monthly rebate and incentive statements and remittance advices, including the review and validation of earned amounts and underlying sales detail as described in the various customer contracts.

  • Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality. Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.

  • Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as, development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and other analysis related projects.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or other technical fields (Sciences/Statistics/Data Analytics).

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience performing various financial or data analyst duties.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with all levels of management.

  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.

  • Strong project management, communication, presentation, time-management and organizational skills.

  • General contract analysis skills with the ability to understand complex customer agreements.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:


  • CPA or MBA a plus.

  • Experience with managing and configuring complex Incentive Compensation Software.

  • Exposure to Data Visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik Sense, etc) and Data Query tools (SQL, etc)
