This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Biomedical Technician with Acute Care Hospital experience to take the next step in their career and a larger role. The Biomedical Engineer will have plenty of opportunities to apply the skills and experience they’ve learned across a wide range of maintenance, testing, and repair of electro-medical equipment, while learning and growing with a great team and a strong manager.
Reporting to the Manager of Plant Maintenance and Engineering, the Hospital Clinical Biomedical Engineer will provide first line support to clinical and administrative departments within the Hospital facility and outlying clinics. Working alongside two other Biomedical Technical experts, this Engineer will earn exposure to all the parts of Hospital Electrical and Equipment Systems.
The Clinical Biomedical Engineer will have varied technical and administrative duties and will get to work with a wide array of experts. This team member will perform all manner of installation, inspection, and testing for all manner of Hospital medical equipment, but will primarily work with Radiological Equipment. For this reason, heavy preference is being given to those who are Radiology Repair Certified and have experience in that area. Just like the physicians you will work around, the Biomedical Engineer will diagnose issues, develop improvement and maintenance plans, and play an active role in fixing issues that arise.
