This is a key leadership role within the Operations team at Ygrene, the leading PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) provider in the United States. Working remotely, along with all of the team, the primary responsibility for this role would be to manage both the strategic and tactical activities of the Underwriting & Processing teams across multiple states and locations.
Director, Operations Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage theYgreneresidential underwriting and processing teams.
Ensure accurate and thorough analysis of credit risk and proper documentation for all applicants and projects submitted for tax financing are completed in a timely manner and that turnaround times are adhered to.
Involved in policy, decisions, process management, strategic direction, and production of the team.
Ensure that the pipeline is being managed and that underwriters are interfacing with property owners, district reps and processors to ensure timely approval of projects.
Assist in development and maintenance of department policy and procedural documents.
Act as a resource for district staff and troubleshoot projects.
Support documentation requirements for final financing agreements and work within district requirements to finalize projects and financing.
Coordinate and interface with final funding department when necessary.
Manage a group of approximately 50 people including managers
Lead the remote teams across multiple states, providing direction, leadership, and focus which is even more critical in the remote environment
10+ years of experience in underwriting, processing, funding and/or escrow within a mortgage and/or banking institution
10+ years of experience managing a team
Extensive background in financial services, specifically in mortgage lending, servicing, and/or specialty finance.
Demonstrated analytical skills (Six-Sigma, etc.)
Requires a high level of detail-orientation.
Ability to independently manage daily tasks and short-term projects
Highly organized and attention to detail is a must
Must have excellent communication skills and strong analytical capacity and ability to multi-task and set priorities
Some travel will be required, and the position can be located in Florida, Texas, or California.

This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets.
Work environment is indoors with majority of time spent sitting at a desk.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
