SUMMARY

We are seeking a qualified Security Operations Director to oversee the Security Operations Command Center. This position provides support in control, coordination, and execution of security operations. Candidates should be well-rounded, effective communicators, and able to work independently by meet aggressive deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for leading a team of personnel in a SOC environment
  • Monitor all security operations throughout the facility
  • Be able to prioritize and direct workflow
  • Addressing technical and non-technical escalations
  • Coordinate and schedule shift coverage, and assign resources for special projects
  • Meet service level agreements
  • Enforce policies and procedures
  • Respond to all security incidents and coordinate response with all relevant agencies
  • Facilitate all security-related incidents to the program management team and other stakeholders
  • Perform quality control and assurance for all security incidents and generate After Action Review (AAR) to mitigate future incidents
  • Collaborate with other project departments to ensure the execution of security's best practices
  • Maintain and record all security incident documents

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

This position has supervisory authority

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • Minimum of 5-10 years in U.S. Federal law enforcement
  • Tactical & operational experience within U.S. Government agencies
  • IT security experience in mid-sized to large IT organizations

  • Strong attention to detail in communication within federal agencies
  • Ability to multi-task and support numerous security operations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with MS Project and knowledge and use of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Public Trust Background Investigation

Desired:


  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Cyber Security, Information Systems (special consideration given to relevant industry certifications for enterprise level security platforms) or relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Prior history of leading a SOC is highly desired
  • Bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This majority of this work is conducted throughout the facilities of the Pomona Fairplex campus with some work conducted in an office environment.
