Full-Time Custodian at Capital District YMCA in Schenectady, New York

Job Description:

The Capital District YMCA is seeking a Full-Time Custodian for the 845 Broadway Location!

$300.00 sign on bonus!
Through the end of September, we’ll start you off with a $150 bonus just for joining our team, and add another $150 bonus after just 3 months with us.

Our Custodians clean and sanitize assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. May complete duties related to window washing, meeting set up, snow removal, grounds keeping, and other related responsibilities.  This position plays a critical role in the safety and well-being of our facility and members.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Responsible for maintaining female locker rooms during business hours.


• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.


• Ability to report and record maintenance requests.


• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.


• Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.


• Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

This is a full-time position with full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Pension, 403B, Tuition Reimbursement and more)

Hours are Monday through Friday from 10:30am-6:30pm
